The bunnik isn't friendly looking because they fight evil spirits.

The spirit of the bathhouse they prevent illness and even protect people from vampires and similar monsters. In one tale a group of girls being chased by vampires run into the bathouse and call 'Grandfather Bunnik come save us." and out comes the bunnik to wrestle with the vampires until dawn when the vampires die.

This is the perfect piece for a bathroom or any other place where you need a Guardian Spirit that can scare away evil spirits.
